Anyone who saw the Zac Stacy video knows what kind of absolute monster you’d have to be to beat on a woman like that… without any regard for your young son who was just a few away while you knocked his mother around the room.
It’s utterly disgusting, and he should be locked up for it.
But perhaps in some of the most shocking news we’ve heard all year (and there’s been A LOT of it), Zac claims he was… wait for it… set up?
Yes, Zac Stacy is blaming HER for the “whole assault thing,” as he put it.
Earlier today, TMZ revealed the arrest videoof Zac Stacy, where you can watch him tell the police that the entire thing was staged, that it was all a set up, and that she’s just bitter that he doesn’t want to be with her.
And while he did admit that what he did was “fucked up,” he also seemed to imply that he didn’t know any man could have handled it differently:
“It’s just a case of just bitterness, man. That’s why she did this. The whole assault thing, she staged it. She set me up.
The whole thing was staged. All she’s trying to do is get money out of me. She got a reaction out of me.”
“This is just a case of just girl is just bitter that I don’t want to be with her and she’s just trying to destroy my whole reputation ’cause of this shit.
It was fucked that I reacted the way I did, I don’t know what man… how any man could have handled that situation.”
Not sure if seen a more egregious display of denial in my entire life, but it’s pretty damn terrifying that he’s trying justify brutally beating on the mother of his child like that.
Staged? How do you “stage” getting beat up when the whole thing is on camera? I mean, we all know Jussie Smollett couldn’t pull off…
After the release of the arrest video, Zac Stacy’s ex-girlfriend, Kris Evans, spoke out, calling his performance typical of abusers:
“I don’t know how you can stage getting your ass beat on multiple occasions, you can’t. But this is what abusers do. They make you seem like you’re the crazy one and they’re the victim.”
She added that perhaps the worst part of the video was the way the cops consoled him as he told them his side of the story.
“It makes me more upset that the cops are consoling him, telling him to breathe… everything about this makes me uncomfortable.”
Stacy was booked on charges of felony aggravated battery and felony criminal mischief.
The 30-year-old ex-NFL running back played four seasons at Vanderbilt from 2009-2012. He was drafted by the Rams in 2013 and finished his short career with the Jets in 2015.
