Blake Shelton announced today that he’ll be adding a new location to his chain of Ole Red honky tonks, this one in Las Vegas at the Grand Bazaar Shops facing the Vegas strip.

And this one will be the biggest Ole Red location yet, at four stories and 27,000 square feet.

According to Blake, he wanted to bring more of a country presence to Sin City:

“I’ve never felt like there was enough of a country music presence.

Obviously, there’s concerts that roll through, people play a venue here and there. But as far as just a home base of presence…

At some point, after you’ve seen enough magic tricks and casinos, sometimes you just want to hear some damn country music.”

This will be the fifth Ole Red for Blake, who has already opened locations in his hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Nashville and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida. And like the other Ole Red locations, this one will also be a partnership with Ryman Hospitality Properties.

But Colin Reed, president of Ryman Hospitality Properties, said this Vegas honky tonk might be in the most important location of them all:

“Las Vegas is, without question, the most important entertainment market in America. Maybe on the planet.

This is going to be so important for our brand.”

Ole Red Vegas is scheduled to open sometime in 2023.
