Lainey Wilson Makes Late Night TV Debut With #1 Single, “Things A Man Oughta Know”

Lainey Wilson took her “bell-bottom country” to a national audience last night in a red hot, embellished, stunning suit (complete with her signature bell-bottoms, of course) and I don’t think late night TV will ever be the same.

She just scored her first ever number one single at country radio with “Things A Man Outta Know”, and last night, she made her late night TV debut on the Jimmy Kimmel show singing the song.

The Louisiana native gave a kickass performance, and I couldn’t be more excited to see her career taking off in a huge way. She’s one of the most promising young stars in the game right now, and this is all just the beginning for her.

She makes fantastic country music and is completely unique in her voice and style… you can’t ask for much more than that.

From her major-label debut album, she wrote the song with Jonathon Singleton and Jason Nix and first included it on her 2020 Redneck Hollywood EP. Of course, the song made its way onto the Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ tracklist and, eventually, #1 on the country charts about a month ago.

The song is original, thoughtful, intelligent, and says a lot for who she is as a songwriter and artist for her very first hit. She finds herself pondering why and how a man could do a lot of things he does from a woman’s perspective, and it’s pretty refreshing to hear something like it on mainstream radio right now.

If you’re not already on the Lainey Wilson bandwagon yet, it’s leaving the station so you might wanna go ahead and jump on:
