If You’re Not Jamming To Lainey Wilson’s “LA,” What Are You Doing?

Lainey Freakin’ Wilson.

I swear I like her stuff more and more every time I hear it.

Her latest album Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ is top to bottom rock solid. The biggest hit is obviously “Things A Man Outta Know,” which just became her first ever Number One, but that’s just the start of it.

Whether it’s the self-reflective title track, the ode to Dolly Parton in “WWDD,” or the baby-maker, “Dirty Looks,” it’s not a lie to say they’re all criminally underrated.

But one stands out in particular.

“LA”

It’s a certified boot-scootin, honky-tonkin, get your ass up and dance song that I’ve pranced through my kitchen to more times than I can count.

It’s an “I know who I am and I love it” song to the core. A little flashy, but still down home. The first time I heard the chorus I just started smiling and didn’t stop for quite awhile. Simple, but gosh darn is it fun and catchy.

“When you say LA, I think Louisiana
Lower Alabama, stars up in the sky
And I ain’t been to California
Way too far from Georgia
But one day I might”

If this isn’t on your party playlist, get on it, I guarantee it’ll get the people going…
