Sasquatch (Or A Hairy Man With A Beer Gut Carrying A Baby) Captured On Camera In Michigan

Sasquatch is arguably the most famous character in the history of North American folklore. Bigfoot is a legend who needs no introduction.

That part is not up for debate.

Whether or not Bigfoot actually exists though – well, that’s one topic that will continue to be hotly debated until either the end of time or the day someone shoots a skunk ape.

No matter the reality of its existence or not, Bigfoot still routinely makes headlines.

The aura of Sasquatch is real enough that the creature is successfully driving a tourism campaign in southeast Oklahoma.

Earlier this year, a state legislator introduced a bill that would have created a designated Bigfoot hunting season in his state.

The bill failed to advance out of committee, but the idea got a lot of attention. And that attention is apparently paying off, as Bigfoot related tourism activity in the area has reportedly been growing.

The initial proposal suggested the state set aside a $25,000 bounty for Bigfoot’s live capture, but state funding is no longer necessary thanks to outside interest in the idea. A $3 million bounty is now being offered for anyone who can prove Bigfoot exists in Oklahoma.  $2 million of that is being offered by a Hollywood film company with plans to film a Bigfoot movie in the area, and the rest has been made through private donations.

It’s a shame that bounty doesn’t extend to Michigan though, because someone might have a claim to the money.

Recent footage of what witnesses are claiming is Bigfoot has publicly surfaced after it was sent to the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization (RMSO) to be analyzed for authenticity.

According to data from the RMSO, Michigan is hot spot for Sasquatch activity. With 224 reported sightings, the Great Lakes State ranks 8th on the list behind only California, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.

The unidentified person who submitted recent footage from Michigan provided some context.

“My cousin was kayaking on the Cass River here in Michigan when he took this picture. Not sure what it is, but I have sent it to a few people to see what they say.

Some say it’s Bigfoot carrying a baby Bigfoot, others say it’s Bigfoot carrying a deer.”

The video was analyzed by RMSO investigator Kyle Shaw, who is skeptical about the figure seen but open to the possibility that it is indeed Sasquatch.

“I’m on the fence. I’m not saying this is Bigfoot, and I’m not saying it isn’t. This is obviously shot with a cell phone at 880×656 resolution. It’s 30 frames per second.

It isn’t the greatest footage. It’s all we have to go with so you be the judge on what you think it is. I don’t know what it is.

I’m not saying it’s Bigfoot, but a lot of what’s going on in this says to me it’s something moving through the river, pushing a wake, and it appears to be carrying an infant.

The infant’s head is behind the mother or father. It must be lying on the left shoulder and kind of in the back, but you can see the torso, leg, and foot of the baby. Just incredible.”

With even the experts on the fence, you be the judge…

Is this Bigfoot?

Or is this one of those old men we’ve all seen at the pool with sun-dried leathery skin and majestic beer gut, who just happened to be wading into the lake nude for a quick cool down?

I personally think it’s Danny DeVito gone feral.
