Talk about a damn nightmare.

Not gonna lie, the thought if lightning striking used to absolutely terrify me.

I remember playing golf when I was younger, and I would be walking in the middle of the summer. Out of nowhere, a thunderstorm would pop up and I’d be stuck in the middle of the golf course with lightning flashing all around me, and I have a sack of 13 metal golf clubs, AKA lightning rods, sitting on my back.

Luckily, the chances of actually getting struck are pretty slim.

However, for three three sibling on a bike ride, they weren’t so lucky…

According to the BBC, the Jobson siblings…Rachel, Isobel, and Andrew, were taking a selfie while standing under a tree in the rain after a bike ride.

Out of nowhere, lightning strikes the tree and the three siblings, and the picture was perfectly caught on camera… it looks like a scene straight outta Hell.

Ok, first of all… rule NUMBER ONE of being in a thunder storm is don’t stand under a tree. C’mon guys…

Isobel had this to say to BBC:

“We then wanted a sad picture in the rain.

All of a sudden I was on the ground and couldn’t hear anything apart from this high-pitched buzzing.”

Rachel then added:

“I was on the ground. I felt disjointed. My sister and I were screaming.”

Rachel suffered burns to her thigh and stomach, and lost feeling in her arm temporarily.

The three were taken to St. George’s Hospital in Tooting to treat their wounds, and were released hours later.

Isobel had a titanium plate inserted into her arm last year after a bicycle accident, and doctors said that could’ve been the reason why they were struck. Imagine that, living life as a walking lightning rod.

The great news is that everybody is okay and in good spirits.
