Tracy Lawrence will go down as one of the most prolific country singers of the ’90s and early 2000’s.

From “Alibis,” “Time Marches On,” and “If The World Had A Front Porch,” to “Paint Me A Birmingham” and “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” Tracy has stamped his name in the country music history books.

I mean c’mon, “Paint Me A Birmingham” is still one of the most well known country songs to date… and it was released 17 years ago.

And while Tracy Lawrence ain’t in the prime of his career anymore, he still isn’t afraid to drink some of these young guns under the table. Beer for beer, shot for shot, whiskey drinks, tequila, you name it… he’s not afraid to take a few victims.

One of those most recent victims? Justin Moore’s band.

Tracy joined Whiskey Riff Raff podcast a few days ago, and talked about how he had Justin and his band members walking sideways one night last year when they were touring together.

“I put ’em down son. I mean them boys were crawlin’ off the bus, they were throwing up, they couldn’t get up the next day… I hurt ’em.”

Hell, he even said he went to the gym the next morning and got a nice workout in while Justin and the boys were contemplating giving up alcohol forever after a fighting a hangover from hell.

Needless to say, this is a fair warning if you ever happen to have some drinks with Tracy Lawrence… it’s not for the faint of heart.

Man, I thought I respected the guy before this story, but now the respect is through the roof.

I guess Toby Keith’s “I Ain’t As Good As I Once Was” doesn’t apply to Tracy… he’s been that good for a long time now.

And while you’re at it, give Tracy’s legendary “Time Marches On” a listen.
