17-year-old Ethan Lively auditioned for The Voice last night with a stellar cover of George Strait’s 1983 hit, “You Look So Good In Love.”
And while he only got a chair-turn from Blake Shelton (no surprise there), it was his speaking voice that made all the judges turn their heads. Not even old enough to buy cigarettes, the kid’s deep, gravely voice sounds like he’s been smoking for 40 years.
And as much as I hate shows like The Voice and American Idol, you gotta love a young buck like Ethan singing some throwback George Strait.
We might not be doomed after all…
