Eric has been steady as a rock when it comes to the release schedule: Every two weeks, it’s new song, in-studio video, new song, in-studio video… repeat.
So today, we’re here with the ‘Through My Ray-Bans” video, and for Eric, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, the song harkens back to simpler times when we could all gather together for a concert. Inspired originally by the Las Vegas shooting, the song has taken on new meaning during the pandemic.
“There’s a point in the show where I walk out in the crowd and I put my arms around them, we get pictures and it’s what life’s about. It’s that moment… What ‘Through My Ray–Bans’ is about is that I wish we could freeze that and I wish that was how life was — right there, just how I saw you.”
And when that day comes… it’s gonna be electric.
