Dierks Bentley Teases New Music Out This Week, His First Release Of 2020

A man with a beard

As awful as 2020 has been, we’re finishing pretty strong in the country music department.

Sturgill Simpson just dropped his 20-song bluegrass record, Eric Church is working on a new (double) album, Chris Stapleton has new record out next month, Tyler Childers dropped a surprise (and polarizing) album, and there’s been a ton more.

And now, you can go ahead and throw Dierks into the mix, who according to a new teaser, will have new music out this week.

Oh, and is anyone else getting a Rick Grimes vibe from this new Dierks look here?

The new material would be the first we’ve heard from Dierks this year, and presumably the first single we’ve had from Dierks since “Living” was released back in February of last year.

Unfortunately, it might be shortest teaser known to man, but you do get a little taste of this ominous piano intro. With Dierks spending most of the quarantine out in Colorado, we were hoping from something with a little bluegrass flavor, something reminiscent of his Up On The Ridge album.

And while this doesn’t quite sound like the direction he’s heading, any time Dierks is releasing new music, I’m a happy guy.

And by the way, if you want a little of that Dierks Bentley bluegrass I was talking about, check out the acoustic concert he did in support of World Central Kitchen. As far as quarantine concerts go, it’s one of the best I’ve seen.
