The Bay Area Literally Looked Like Mars Today

Did we find an alternate universe living on Mars?

Is this the apocalypse?

Is somebody just fucking around with Photoshop?

Nope, this is is the Bay Area today…

As a result of the forest fires that are currently burning all over the West Coast, including California, Washington and Oregon millions of acres are being destroyed, homes and businesses are being destroyed… it’s absolutely devastating.

Of course one of the fires in Southern California was caused by a fucking gender reveal party, but according to ABC 7, The Bear Fire (part of the North Complex Fire in Butte County) exploded to more than 58,000 acres last night, sending a massive cloud of ash into the air.

Now the ash is resting between 1,500 and 10,000 feet above the surface, so breathing conditions are relatively fine, but there is so much ash that it actually blocks out the sun. It allows red, orange and yellow light to pass through, but reflects blue light, giving off the eerie orange color we’re seeing right now.

I mean, look at this.

It’s in Oregon too.

The end is near… seriously.
