Looks like we might have some college football after all this year.

Then again, ain’t nothing that can come between southern folks and SEC football… not even Coronavirus.

The SEC released their Week 1 schedule today and right out of the gate, we’re looking at some TOUGH matchups for the conference’s unranked teams. Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida are all ranked in the Top 10 according to the preseason coaches poll and they’ll take one Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss respectively. Also, #1 11 Auburn will take on Kentucky and #13 Texas A&M will take on Vandy in Week 1.

This season, where many other conferences (Big Ten and Pac-12 among others) have postponed their seasons due to the pandemic, the SEC has settled on a 10-game, league-only schedule, along with two additional cross-divisional games.

The season kicks off on September 26th. The entire schedule will be announced later today (7 p.m. ET) on the SEC Network.

Cue the “God’s Country” hype video.
