Taking country music to outer space. This is pretty awesome.
The International Space Station shared their own music video for Travis Tritt’s “It’s a Great Day to be Alive,” starring astronaut Chris Cassidy and the crew of the ISS.
From 250 miles above the Earth, Expedition 63 is aware of the hard times that exist in the neighborhoods of the world rotating below. Even amid the uncertainty & difficulties, we encourage everyone to be the best “crewmates” & take care of each other. Cherish the people you love. pic.twitter.com/pqlew0yyfc

The video montage, which features Cassidy singing along aboard the space station along with clips of the astronauts going about their daily life in space, of course attracted the attention of Travis Tritt himself, who joked that it was the closest he’ll ever get to actually being in space.
“This is the closest I will ever get to actually being in space. I’m very honored to have my music being played on the International Space Station! Thanks so much!”

Imagine having your music played in outer space – how freaking cool is that?
But I bet these astronauts can’t wait to get back to Earth to have some real homemade soup.
