Travis Tritt Performs Tear-Soaked Rendition Of “Amazing Grace” At Charlie Daniels’ Memorial Service

Country music said goodbye to the great Charlie Daniels today.

Hosted by Storme Warren and pastor Allen Jackson, Charlie’s funeral service was held World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, this morning. Vince Gill, Trace Adkins, Travis Tritt, and more shared memories and stories about their good friend, and even offered up teary-eyed performances to honor his memory.

Trace performed “Arlington,” Gretchen Wilson sang “I’ll Fly Away,” Vince Gill delivered an powerful rendition of “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” and Travis Tritt brought the whole room to tears with an emotional performance of “Amazing Grace.”

I’m tearing up just watching it, I can’t imagine working up the nerve to actually get up there and sing at the funeral of a good friend.

RIP Charlie, you are dearly missed.
