A woman standing next to a man

June 1st… how the hell is it already June 1st?

We’re approaching the halfway point of 2020 and as always, we like to take a minute pause and reflect on all the great music that we’ve been given this year.

Some of these records might be your favorites, some might be brand new to you, and some will fall somewhere in between, but no matter where they fall on the spectrum, they all have one thing in common… they’re phenomenal records.

Will they all make the year end list? Maybe, maybe not. But one thing is for sure, these 16 records are some of the best we’ve seen this year. And one final note: I don’t care to differentiate between “country,” alt-country,” “Americana,” or any of the other sub-genres for purposes of this list… all of these records fall somewhere under the over-arching “country” umbrella.

So without further ado, the best country records of 2020… so far.
