You’re Gonna Love These Old Luke Combs Demos From Way Back In His College Days

A man playing a guitar

Throwing it WAY back to Luke’s college days today.

The other day we shared an old recording of song called “Day  Drinkin’,” which just so happens to be the first song ever wrote.

And while that one was my favorite from Luke’s early recordings, there were a few more that we thought you should hear.

“These Four Walls,” which if it were written today would be about going insane on lockdown during a global pandemic, is a song about saying goodbye to the place Luke where Luke lived during his college years.

If these four walls could talk, they’d tell you everything
They got holes and scrapes all on them from a couple of nights of booze
I bet they remember a few things, that not too many knew
If these four walls could talk, I’m not sure I’d want them to

I would love to hear Luke re-record this one today.

“These Four Walls”

And now, Luke is arguably the biggest thing in country music.

Pretty cool to hear him WAY back in the beginning, eh? And even though these songs are nearly a decade old, Luke’s career is just getting started.

Next stop: Entertainer of the Year.

Here’s another one called “Why I Love The Country.”
