Shaquille O’Neal Delivers Tear-Soaked Reflection On Relationship With Kobe Bryant

Absolutely gut-wrenching.

It’s still hard to wrap my head around the fact that Kobe Bryant passed away, and even as someone that wasn’t much of a basketball fan, I don’t think I can remember another time when a celebrity death was felt this hard. Me personally, and the entire country… we’re shook.

Kobe’s longtime teammate Shaquille O’Neal reflected on his relationship with Kobe and it’s damn near impossible to watch without tearing up yourself. And through all the tears, Shaq leaves us with a piece of incredibly important advice:

“We’re up here, we work a lot. And I think a lot of times, we take stuff for granted. I don’t talk to you guys as much as I needed to… with the loss of my father, my sister, my grandmother, that’s the only thing… I wish I could just say something to him again… so I’m going to try and do a better job of reaching out and talking to the people rather than just procrastinating, because you never know. Life is too short.”

Take it from Shaq and tell your loved ones that you love them.

Life is too short not to.
