Miller Lite Finally Releases Blacked Out “Offline Can”

I honesty don’t know what it is, but there’s something about the design of the can that drastically changes my desire to drink the beer inside.

Call it stupid, call me a sucker for a marketing ploy, but when Miller Lite went back to the retro white cans, I immediately switched from Bud Light to Miller Light. At the end of the day, if you’re going to drink watered-down light beer, the can is pretty much thing that makes them any different.

Which brings me to their latest can design, the blacked-out “Offline Can.” And it’s BEAUTIFUL.

But not only is it a slick can design, the marketing ploy behind it actually aims to get people off their phones and spending time with their friends and family. That’s a message I can get behind.

And this month, for a limited time, the cans are available to consumers.

Here’s how to get your hands on one:

-Head down to your local watering hole with your friends and see if they’re participating in the nationwide Miller Lite Offline Can promotion.
-To get one for free, you can scan the QR code on the branded table tent and put your phones down at the bar for 30 minutes.
-Once the timer is up, each participant will get an Offline Can.

And if you can’t live without your phone for 30 minutes, (loser) you can just buy one at the bar for the same price as a regular Miller Lite.

Put your phone down, get free beer in a badass can? It doesn’t get easier people.
