Truth is, there are many that will spend this holiday season away from their loved ones and significant others for a host of different reasons. And, as a musician that spends many nights on the road himself, away from his lovely wife Senora May, Tyler Childers knows a thing or two about being alone.
So much so, that he wrote a song about it, recorded a live-performance music video. And while many of you might think that “Ever Lovin’ Hand” is just a story about jerking off, it’s really a much deeper story about love and commitment. Rather than succumbing to the temptations of life out on the road, our storyteller is “going alone” in an effort to stay true to his lover waiting for him at home. It’s actually pretty sweet when you think about it.
So for all you lonely hearts, forced by circumstance to be separated from your lovers this holiday season, this one’s for you.
