The Outsiders, Risky Business, The Color of Money, Cocktail, Rain Man, and of course, Top Gun… 80’s Tom Cruise flicks are peak cinema for me. There’s just something about a hot shot fighter pilot, throwback Kenny Loggins tunes, and a budding romance with a hot teacher that makes for quality entertainment.
So naturally I was pumped for the new Top Gun:Maverick where Cruise will reprise his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, but let’s be honest, 9 times out of 10, remakes just suck.
From the looks of the trailer though, this one doesn’t.
