Nothing goes together quite like country music and the summer.
However, almost to a fault, country music has found itself in the habit of releasing songs specifically made for the summer just as soon as the weather pops past 70 degrees. The latest artist to follow this trend, none other than Carrie Underwood.
With her first single announcement of the new year, Carrie Underwood will be sending her fun-in-the-sun, summer anthem “Southbound” to country radio. Co-written by Underwood, along with David Garcia and Josh Miller, “Southbound” will no doubt find its way onto a boatload of summer playlists this year.
She also performed the new single at the 54th Annual ACM Awards a few weeks back.
