Michigan School Principal Announces Snow Day With Viral “Hallelujah” Parody

It’s negative 20 degrees here in Chicago right now, we’re talking record cold.

Up it Swartz Creek, Michigan, it’s pretty damn cold too, so when Superintendent Ben Mainka and Principal Jim Kitchen needed to cancel school, they wanted to have a little fun with it.

The duo wrote a snow day parody of Leonard Cohen’s iconic “Hallelujah,” and absolutely crushed it, already earning over 700,000 views on YouTube.
