They say that everything is bigger in Texas, and the Waco native Wade Bowen has certainly had a big-time country music career for the past two decades.

Bowen’s first album, Try Not To Listen, was released in 2002, and ever since then, he and his band have continually and consistently put out high-level country music.

In recent years, country music fans have especially appreciated Bowen work with Randy Rogers of the Randy Rogers Band. The two talented Texans have collaborated four separate times since 2015 on projects that they titled Hold My Beer Vol. 1, Watch This: Live From Dallas, Hold My Beer Vol. 2, and most recently Hold My Beer Vol. 3.

Bowen and Rogers were actually featured on the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast a couple of weeks ago to speak about their latest duet album:

And last night, Bowen stopped into the Grand Ole Opry to play a set for his fans.

He’s no stranger to the circle, though he mentioned in a post of his on X (formerly Twitter) that each time he plays at the historic venue, it feels like the first time… and he’s less and less nervous.

Bowen shared:

“Always great to be back on the Opry stage! Every time feels like the first time except I’m a little less nervous.”

Fans at the Opry were appreciative of Wade Bowen’s talent and made sure that he felt right at home in the circle.

The Texas native felt so comfortable in front of the crowd that he even decided to play a new song, which he teased just a few days ago on his social media accounts:

“New song coming next Friday! I wrote this one with the talented Casey Beathard, and I think it sums up everything I love about songwriting.

This song is about meeting the one that makes a ramblin’ soul like mine want to settle down, and I hope you hear some of your own story in it.”

Before he began to play his new tune, “Lovin’ Not Leavin’,” Bowen shared a message about his song and how special it was to play it for the first time at the home of country music:

“We’ve got a brand new song coming out next week and we’re really proud of it.

There’s no better place to debut a brand new song than the Grand Ole Opry.”
