Garth Brooks’ Blame It All On My Roots Tour rolls on, and the country music superstar just added even more dates for December with a pair of shows in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Country music fans have flocked to his retro arena tour thus far, and many are citing his tour date rollout as a successful way to beat “Blue Dot Fever.” With almost every stop along the tour, Garth and his team have often had to add additional shows to meet demand. The country star’s goal of creating intimate concerts within arenas is working out swimmingly, and choosing to announce shows one at a time has helped tour announcement excitement span months rather than just a few days.
It can be likened to a modern TV show opting to do the once-a-week release method (like the old days) rather than dropping all of its episodes all at once.
Earlier today, the country music icon shared through his website and social media that one of the next stops along the Blame It All On My Roots Tour will be Minneapolis, Minnesota:
“MINNESOTA! WE’RE COMING BACK! The ‘Blame It All On My Roots Tour’ is headed to Minneapolis for TWO NIGHTS at the Target Center, December 11 & 12! Tickets go on sale Friday, November 13 at 10AM CT.”
In case you missed the news, Garth has chosen to make every single ticket that’s for sale – regardless of where it is in the arena – $155.50. When you break that down, it’s $140 for the ticket, and then $14 added on top of it in facility fees and service charges (plus taxes). So from the front row to the nose bleeds, every single seat costs the same. That’s at least how it works in theory… Brooks has had some trouble battling bots, and even canceled a tour date because of it.
But nothing was going to stop Garth from heading back to the Twin Cities for this tour. Minnesota means a lot to the country star, mainly because in October of 1998, the 5 millionth ticket buyer for his world tour at the time was recognized in Minneapolis. Fans have always showed up in Minnesota for Garth, and he even admitted on his website that he’s not sure why:
“I have no idea why they have taken me in the way they have, but it has been this way since the very beginning.”
And they’ll certainly be there for Garth Brooks when he rolls into town on December 11 and 12.
Here’s what the country star has coming up for tour dates… and based upon how things have been going with Garth’s tour, I’m sure even more tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks:
