Sierra Ferrell Announces Live Album Recorded At Third Man Records’ Blue Room

New music is on the way from Miss Sierra Ferrell.

In an era filled with some of the most talented female artists in the genre, ranging from Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson dominating the mainstream to the likes of Kaitlin Butts, Carter Faith, Maggie Antone and more turning heads in the alternative country scene, Sierra Ferrell has remained one of the best of the best of the decade.

2025, in particular, was a huge year for the “Lighthouse” singer. Riding the highs of her brilliant 2024 album, Trail of Flowers, Ferrell swept her categories at the 67th Grammy Awards, taking home four trophies for Best Americana Album (Trail of Flowers), Best Americana Performance (“American Dreaming”), Best American Roots Song (“American Dreaming”), and Best American Roots Performance (“Lighthouse”).

She’d follow that up in September by taking home her second-straight Artist of the Year trophy at the Americana Awards, becoming just the third artist and first female artist ever to win in back-to-back years.

Since the release of Trail of Flowers, fans have been itching for new music, hoping that a single is coming soon from the West Virginia native, as she’s been playing a new one titled “Dusty Foot” on the road since last fall. But it appears that Ferrell will continue to build anticipation for new music without keeping fans waiting for a new form of media.

It appears that Ferrell might be loading a live album…

On April 6, Third Man Records, the vinyl-focused independent record label founded in 2001 by Jack White, posted a cryptic image of a vinyl spinning playing “I Could Drive You Crazy” with “Sierra Ferrell 9/22 Live” written on the record in Sharpie.

This September 25th date lines up with a show Ferrell played last year at Third Man Records’ The Blue Room in Nashville, Tennessee. The intimate listening room would make a stellar backdrop for a live record. After the show last year, The Blue Room posted a collection of images from the show, highlighting the same blue reel that is seen in the teaser post as well.

Fans who attended the show knew they were recording the show, but you never know when that recording might come to light. For the lucky ones in that room that night, it appears they will be able to relive that performance again very soon. And for the rest of us, while we are still itching for new music, I will take any new media from Sierra Ferrell.

Set for release on June 5th, Sierra has formally announced the release of her first live record, Live at Third Man Records. The album will be available exclusively on red vinyl via Third Man Records, and a limited edition black and blue vinyl will be exclusively offered to those who attended the show.
