Setting the record straight.
Zach Top is one of the hottest names in country music right now, as the Washington native blew up on TikTok before releasing his debut album Cold Beer & Country Music, and since then he’s been selling out shows all over the country and winning over fans with his classic ’90s country sound.
The ladies love him, and there have been several viral videos of them holding up some pretty unhinged messages for Zach during his shows.
For example:

There’s plenty more where that came from, and while Zach seems to get a kick out of it, there’s one person who doesn’t find it all that funny, and that would be his girlfriend, Amelia Taylor. Zach and Amelia have been dating since at least last year, when she revealed their relationship publicly on social media.
Recently, she spoke out about all of the messages being held up for her man at his shows, and she posted a pretty fiery message on social media not too long ago saying that she was “scanning the crowd for all these wild texts chicks are holding up.”
And in the caption, she had a message for the ladies:

And while we can debate whether or not those kinds of messages are out of line, I’d say… get used to it, sis. Zach’s fame isn’t going away anytime soon and there’s always gonna be wild female fans.
Zach was actually married before, and while he’s never spoken much not the details, fans have come up with their own theories about what might, or might not have, happened between them and how she met Zach.
There have been rumors online (mostly TikTok) that the two met when she was still in high school and that she’s just 19 years old (Zach is 27 and will be 28 in September… not saying anything about their supposed age gap, just giving context), and that she might have started seeing him while he was still married.
Well, I guess she got tired of all the rumors and hearsay, because Amelia shared a lengthy post on TikTok explaining that none of that stuff is true, and she is tired of allegedly getting “death threats” and other forms of harassment. She says she is going to block people who “constantly send hate” her way, explaining that she’s “not numb to the hurt that words can cause”:
“I think I learn something new about myself on here every day. I thought I’d address this in a subtle manner since everyone is so curious. Not that I believe my personal life needs to be made public, but simply because the de@Th threats, su!cide wishes, and assault threats are getting a little out of control. Being with someone in the public eye doesn’t cancel out the fact that I’m human with real human feelings.
I’m not 19. I’ve never been anyone’s mistress. I didn’t meet my boyfriend when I was in high school. I specifically meant the signs that are *self-degrading* to the beautiful girls holding them up and objectifying another human simply because of his talent. Disliking another human is fine! Differing opinions make the world go round!
However, the de*th threats and su!cide wishes are not okay- Let’s remember that everything we read on the internet isn’t always true! Humans are human- they make mistakes, they’re imperfect. It’s simply the beauty of being human! If you’re constantly sending hate my way, of course I’m going to block you. No human is numb to the hurt that words can cause- Learn to love. It makes life a lot more enjoyable. I just wanna travel and pet kangaroos.”
I obviously don’t condone any of that and have never understood why these “fans” get so invested in an artists love life. It’s really none of their business, even if that person is in the public eye and entertainment industry, and to send a young girl those types of messages is just insane. But unfortunately, the interest and prodding just comes with the territory of dating someone famous and is something the girlfriends and significant others just have to deal with to a certain extent.
It’s all still pretty new to Amelia, they haven’t been dating that long relatively speaking, so hopefully she can learn how to buffer out some of that noise, and when in doubt, I guess block the ones who can’t seem to stay out of her personal life.
