The Phoenix Park venue it NOT in Phoenix, Arizona…
Just to save you some trouble in the future.
This past weekend, Zach Bryan played a few concerts at Phoenix Park in Dublin, Ireland, where he sported a new hairline and that certainly became one of the viral moments of the weekend. He also brought a cute little boy who had traveled all the way from Seattle to Dublin to see him, and when he got behind the drum set, he had a great reaction.

It looks like there was a lot of memorable moments throughout all three shows, including the surprise guest he brought out on Sunday in Irish singer and songwriter (who Zach is a big fan of) Dermot Kennedy joined him for a duet of “Hey Driver.”
It was beautiful:

But one fan almost missed out on the show altogether as Matt McMahon (good Irish name, ironically enough) and his mom, who had brought tickets for the show a while ago, somehow misread the venue which was at Phoenix Park in Dublin as Phoenix, Arizona… it went from a trip within the United States to being a trip to another country VERY quickly. Matt, who lives in Seattle, Washington, shared a video commenting on the situation that went viral on TikTok, and honestly, it’s pretty funny.
The good part is, they still made it to Ireland, and ended up getting an international trip out of it too, which is cool:
@contentmattt Where can I find the best Guinness in Dublin? Matt appeared on Irish radio station Today FM to talk to host Alison Curtis, telling her he was happy to tag along when his mom had a hard time finding anyone to take a trip 5,000 miles away to another country last minute when she realized the mistake. It sounds like Zach had a new fan, too, because Matt said it was an “amazing” concert:
“I hopped on a plane with her because she bought two and couldn’t find anyone else to fly to Dublin with her. And yeah, now we’re in Dublin. We saw Zach Bryan last night, it was actually amazing.”
It was there first time in Ireland, and Matt said he had tons of fans walking up to him after many of them had seen the viral video on TikTok:
“No, it’s our first time. It’s been the coolest experience ever. And honestly it’s been insane. Because I had zero followers on TikTok before I posted that video and then I posted it, and it went mega viral. Or not mega, but was really big.
And I, at the concert I’ll be walking around, and like, people are coming up to me and taking photos with me. It’s like I’ve been this new place that I’ve never ever been, never had a following ever in my entire life, and the people here know me.”
It was an honest mistake, and luckily, they still made it to the show and had a great time… even though they added about 5,000 miles to their original travel plans.
Good stuff:
