Sydney Sweeney has seemingly entered into her single era.

The actress – who most people were introduced to in HBO’s teen drama Euphoria – has been making headlines as of late due to reports suggesting that her relationship was on the rocks. Back in February, news broke that Sydney Sweeney had postponed her wedding to her fiancé of three years, Jonathan Davino.

Because the 27-year-old actress moves the needle so much on social media (tread lightly if you choose to dive into the comment sections of her post), people really enjoy following along with what she shares online, and some eagle-eyed fans noticed back in March that the known-t0-be engaged movie and TV star had deleted pictures with her fiancé off of her social media accounts.

The couple were first linked together back in 2018, and made headlines because of the age gap between them, with Davino being 41-years-old. And they were reportedly engaged in 2022, with plans to get married this coming May. Initially, reports from TMZ suggested that the wedding was pushed back due to the couple’s busy schedule, but then the deleted picture aspect was thrown into the mix, which led to “trouble in paradise” speculation.

Those rumors were all but confirmed when another report from US Weekly made claims that the wedding had been completely called off. An insider told the outlet that Sydney and Jonathan’s relationship was really being tested, and implied that the decision to cancel the wedding wasn’t mutual:

“Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now. All wedding plans have come to a halt and they aren’t having further discussions about it. Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”

So why were Sweeney and Davino struggling? It sounded like Sydney was wanting to focus more on her career, and her fiancé (?) wasn’t exactly happy about how much time she was spending on her projects… nor was he pleased with how close it appeared Sweeney was getting to her costars (*cough* GLEN POWELL *cough*).

The actress hasn’t come out and confirmed any of the news herself, at least not officially. If you are interested in an unofficial confirmation, that might have come in the form of Sydney Sweeney singing Adele’s “Someone Like You” at a Key West, Florida Karaoke bar recently:

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell you that someone who is happily engaged to be married would not be belting out a breakup anthem at a karaoke bar.

However, I understand that still might not be enough evidence for some of you who are heavily invested in the life of Sydney Sweeney… and have immense interest in her relationship status. If you find yourself in that boat, may I enter a second piece evidence into the court?

Though my presentation of videos and pictures supporting Sydney’s single status may be resting, the desperate men of the internet are just now getting revved up. Just as social media got weirdly optimistic when it was revealed that Sydney Sweeney’s wedding had been postponed until further notice, and when people (mostly men) online began celebrating the deleted-picture-heard-around-the-world… desperate individuals are really starting to think that they have a shot with Sydney Sweeney:
