Aaron Rodgers Dunks On NFL Insider Adam Schefter: “Lose My Number… I’ll Speak For Myself”

Aaron rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is currently live on The Pat McAfee Show, sharing firsthand insight into his future with the Green Bay Packers.

It’s a never-ending soap opera with Aaron, rumor after rumor, whisper after whisper, and Aaron has made clear over the years that he absolutely hates it. Some might call him a drama queen, but according to Aaron, the media perpetuates the circus… not him.

Darkness retreats be damned…

Of course, there have been a ton of rumors swirling all week about where the longtime Green Bay Packers quarterback will land, with the New York Jets being the primary target.

Dianna Russini of ESPN reported that Aaron Rodgers has a wish list the Jets must fulfill if he were to agree to be traded there:

And according to Aaron, that’s complete bullshit.

Talking to McAfee, he specifically addressed the “wish list” rumor, and savagely dunked on NFL Insider Adam Schefter in the process.

“Ask Schefter what I texted him when he somehow got my number and texted me. I didn’t respond to Dianna Russini I think her name is, but I would say the same thing I told Schefty…

Lose my number… nice try. I’ll speak for myself. I’m sure there will be people that have their sources, but from what I’ve seen I had a sheet of paper when I met with Jets and said ‘Sign these people.’

And that’s not the reality, that’s ridiculous.”

DAMN…

Savage…

And Schefty hilariously confirmed:

I’m not gonna lie, I love how much Aaron hates the media. And I’m technically IN the media.

Nevertheless, it appears as though A-Rod will be heading to New York so long as the Jets and the Packers can get a deal done. According to Rodgers, the Pack seem to want a little more than the Jets are willing to give for the aging QB, but without much leverage, it seems like the Packers will have to get it done.

“Since Friday, my intention was to play for the New York Jets.”

The Jets have also acquired Allen Lazard so that seems to bode well for Rodgers, who will have instant chemistry with one of his wide receivers.

As a Bears fan, it’s gonna be a little weird not seeing Aaron Rodgers “own” us anymore, and a bit bittersweet not to face him twice year. But then again, finally winning again will be nice too…
