Remember the Masters Girl? Who went viral during the 2023 edition of the “Tradition Unlike Any Other?” Well she’s back in the social media spotlight, and the world might be seeing a little bit more of her with her latest career update.
First off, life moves pretty fast, does it not? If you would have asked me how long ago the “Masters Girl” phenomenon happened, I would have guessed at the most two years ago. But nope… Aaliyah Kikumoto went viral all the way back in 2023, and here we are in 2026 talking about her again.
In case you are in need of a refresher, the “Masters Girl” was set up behind the tee box on the famous 16th hole at Augusta National Golf Club. She just so happened to be in the shot for the broadcast, and someone noticed her, snapped a video, and posted it to TikTok.
The rest, as they say, is history:

The “Masters Girl” was quickly identified as Aaliyah Kikumoto, and the internet came to find out that the young woman from Denver, Colorado was actually a member of the Texas Tech cheer team.
She became an overnight sensation, and gathered quite the following thanks to her somewhat random viral moment on social media:
But like all viral things, the “Masters Girl” faded away for a while… or at least out of sight in the world of social media. She got her 15 minutes of fame, and then returned to living her life of college and cheerleading. Kikumoto graduated from Texas Tech earlier this year, and also had the honor of joining the USA Cheer Team. I’m surprised that didn’t bring her back to the public eye.
The good news is that something else did.
Kikumoto took to Instagram earlier this week to share that she would be continuing her cheering career at the professional level. She’s now a member of the Miami Dolphins cheer team:
“Still feels surreal getting to say… I AM A MIAMI DOLPHINS CHEERLEADER. A HUGE thank you to Kash Garrett, Alison Brooke and Em Ehrl for believing in me and giving me this opportunity! I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings and to represent this organization both on and off the field. This is seriously a dream come true. I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way and for the opportunity to continue doing what I love the most.”
Life moves pretty fast… if you don’t stop to look around every once and a while, you could miss out on what previously viral people are up to in the modern day.
Most importantly, we can’t forget where she got her start… through golf, and more specifically, The Masters. The newest member of the Miami Dolphins has a heck of a golf swing:
