Taylor Sheridan is planning to take the spirit of his Four Sixes Ranch and inject it into the Las Vegas strip.
The creator of Yellowstone and its spinoffs (1883, 1923) is getting himself into yet another western-themed endeavor. This time around though, his creation won’t be viewed on a screen. It’ll instead be experienced in real life at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. After testing the waters of the restaurant industry with a pop-up establishment a couple of years ago, Sheridan is exploring a more permanent eatery that’s set to be based upon his famed Four Sixes Ranch.
The Four Sixes is a 142,000-acre ranch located in Guthrie, Texas that Sheridan bought in 2022. It’s been featured in Yellowstone, and there were rumors that it would even be the focal point of its very own spinoff. That idea was recently shut down for good, but the 6666 Ranch is still getting a spinoff of sorts… just in the form of a restaurant.
Sheridan is partnering with the MGM Grand to bring the “Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse” to the Las Vegas strip. Ari Kastrati, the Chief Content, Hospitality & Development Officer for MGM Resorts, was thrilled to make the announcement in a press release:
“MGM Grand has long served as the premier stage for defining moments in global entertainment where memorable experiences and exceptional dining collide. The arrival of the Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse represents a pivotal moment in the evolution of our guest experience, introducing a pillar of American heritage representing the vision of Taylor Sheridan and his brilliant team at Four Sixes.”
As you might imagine, the menu for the Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse will set out to embody the boldness of both the legendary Texas ranch and the western way of life. Sheridan’s new endeavor will emphasize using ingredients from the state of Texas. In fact, the steaks and cuts that will be available for those dining will most likely be from the Four Sixes Ranch itself.
The drink menu is also expected to feature specialty craft cocktails with Texas and western theming.
And the restaurant itself is going to be an immersive environment that will make customers feel like they just stepped into the Four Sixes Ranch… or maybe even a Taylor Sheridan series. The American West will be fully represented, and digital walls with custom footage from Sheridan himself will keep restaurant goers entertained. It’s also important to note that the dining room of the steakhouse will be designed by Charisse Cardenas, who has served as the production designer for Landman, Lioness, The Madison and American Sniper.
It sounds like a Taylor Sheridan fan’s dream steakhouse, and the man behind the expansive TV universe that’s now getting the restaurant treatment can’t wait for people to see it:
“The Four Sixes Ranch has always stood for an uncompromising standard of craft and tradition, and bringing that ethos to a stage like MGM Grand is a thrilling evolution. Every dish will tell a story of the American West, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone who walks through our doors.”
The new MGM Grand restaurant – which will take the place of what was formerly known as the Crush American Grill – is expected to open in early 2027.
