In elite company.

On all fronts, 2026 has been a hell of a year for Luke Combs. Back in March, he dropped his “I’m back” project – the high-energy The Way I Am album — and it was pretty clear that he was, in fact, back. The album would debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, selling 101,000 equivalent units in its first week. Additionally, it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, The Way I Am marking his seventh Top 10 record on the all-genre chart

Safe to say, the fans have responded enthusiastically to that record over the past four months and have packed stadiums along his tour every chance they’ve gotten, with the country superstar selling out stadiums across the world on his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour.

Since kicking off back in March, Combs has broken a staggering four different attendance records both here in the U.S. and across the pond, setting Ohio Stadium’s (97,367), Lambeau Field’s (51,981), and Neyland Stadium’s (92,045) record for highest-attended concerts. Additionally, the “Hurricane” singer would set the record for the largest country music crowd ever in the Nordic region, with 60,826 fans at his July 4th show in Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.

He’d keep the momentum going last week, extending the tour into 2027 with 12 more shows at the likes of Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium, Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field and more.

This week, he’s back with yet another #1 on country radio.

After scoring #1s with “Back In The Saddle” and “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” from The Way I Am, “Be By You” is now the third #1 from the album. Today, it has officially risen to #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, moving up from the number two spot with 32.8 million impressions according to Billboard.

Joining the likes of past hits such as “She Got the Best of Me,” “Beautiful Crazy,” “Forever After All” and his Twisters smash, “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” “Be By You” marks Combs’ 21st career #1 on the chart since his debut with “Hurricane” in May 2017.

Interestingly, “Be By You,” which was written by Dan Alley, Sam Banks and Nick Walsh, marks just the third of Combs’ 22 #1s to not be written by him. The other two are his cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” in 2023 and his feature on Jameson Rodgers’ “Cold Beer Calling My Name” in 2021.

With 22 #1s, Combs is now one of just 11 artists in history to score at least 21+ #1 hits on Country Airplay since its inception in 1990, tying Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett. Now, he is tied for seventh-most chart-toppers all time, behind the likes of Kenny Chesney (33), George Strait (26), Alan Jackson (26), Morgan Wallen (22) and more.
