Gearing up for the new EP.
After a fairly tumultuous past year, 2026 has been pretty great for Zach Bryan. Shortly after marrying Samantha Sebastian on New Year’s Eve, he’d drop his long-awaited sixth studio album, With Heaven On Top, along with a full-length acoustic version of the record. Delivering another stellar effort, it would debut #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200, selling 130,00 units in its first week and charting 18/25 songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
Since then, he’s been hitting the road hard on his current international run of shows, With Heaven On Tour. Kicking off back in March, the “Something in the Orange” singer has already played sold-out shows at Bank of America Stadium, Raymond James Stadium, Memorial Stadium and more here in the U.S. He’s also hit the likes of the U.K., Spain, Germany, Denmark, Ireland and the Netherlands across the pond, selling out there as well.
Though he’s been on tour internationally for the majority of the year, Bryan took most of July off. In typical fashion, however, he was far from off the grid. Returning to social media after being deactivated on most accounts, he went back to the basics on the 4th of July weekend, taking to YouTube on July 3rd to tease “Lodi When” once again. Additionally, he’d post a full-length teaser of a brand-new track, “Better Friends.” In the caption of both of these videos, which have since been deleted, the Oklahoma native revealed that he has a new EP on the way with an incredibly interesting, for lack of a better word, name called Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs:

Obviously, the EP has yet to receive an official release date, but it looks like that day is coming incredibly soon. Recently, Bryan finally reactivated his Instagram account, wiping all of his posts in the process.
Over the weekend, the 30-year-old singer/songwriter returned to the stage in Eugene, Oregon, at Autzen Stadium. After performing past hits such as “Something in the Orange,” “Pink Skies,” “Motorcycle Drive By” and more, Bryan debuted another brand new song live.
He actually teased the track back on July 18th over on YouTube before once again deleting it from the platform. With that being said, however, he’d confirm to the Oregon crowd that it’s officially titled “Backwards” and will be featured on the upcoming EP.
Here, Bryan once again laments with feelings of being an outsider, remarking how he doesn’t “feel human anymore” in the first verse. Additionally, he points to having regrets about past actions in the chorus, noting how everything he’s ever said has been in reverse.
