Jason Aldean Announces 13th Studio Album, Songs About Us,’ Featuring A Duet With His Wife, Brittany

Jason Aldean

Album #13 coming soon.

Reigning ACM Artist of the Decade, Jason Aldean, has had nothing short of a storied career. With 30 #1s, 27 platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and over 51 million units sold in the U.S. alone, the “She’s Country” singer has had a career few could ever dream of.

Despite delivering some rock-solid hits over the years, namely with early tracks such as “Why,” “The Truth” and “Laughed Until We Cried,” lately, Aldean hasn’t quite lived up to the expectations in recent memory. Quite frankly, his stretch of three albums starting from 2019’s 9 to the double album, Macon and Georgia, were pretty disastrous with the Georgia native delivering career lows on tracks such as Georgia’s autotune disaster, “Ain’t Enough Cowboy.”

With 2023’s Highway Desperado, it seemed as if Aldean found his footing once again. And while it didn’t quite capture the same magic present in his earlier records, it was, at least, a step in the right direction. Of course, the record contained the highly-controversial, all-genre Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Try That In a Small Town,” which fanned the flames of political division in the country at its time of release, despite Aldean repeatedly going on record saying the song was never meant to divide listeners.

Though he has been touring extensively over the past two years, the releases from Aldean had been stagnant. With that being said, however, he returned in September with his first new release in over two years with his brand new single, “How Far Does A Goodbye Go.” And for many fans of the “Dirt Road Anthem” singer, he was finally returning to the old sound many grew up loving.

With “How Far Does A Goodbye” currently experiencing success both from fans and commercially, as it sits at #17 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in its seventh week, the Georgia has decided to pull the trigger and announce his album.

Just announced, Aldean will release Songs About Us, his 13th studio album, on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Coming out firing, Songs About Us will feature a lengthy 20 tracks, including the aforementioned “How Far Does A Goodbye Go” along with the three songs he released today as an album preview, “Help You Remember,” “Hard To Love You” and “Lovin’ On Me.” Additionally, both Luke Bryan and Jason’s wife, Brittany, will make guest appearances on the record.

With Bryan appearing on the title track, this marks the first time in their long, intertwining careers that they’ve performed a duet together. Until now, the two had only made guest appearances together along with other artists on both Aldean’s 2013 single featuring Eric Church and Bryan, “The Only Way I Know” and their recent appearance on Shenandoah’s re-release of their smash hit, “Sunday in the South.” Brittany Aldean’s appearance on the 11th track, “Easier Gone,” also marks the first time she’s been featured on any official release from the “Fly Over States” singer.

Discussing the album, Aldean put heavy emphasis on the universal nature of the album. Noting how much of an impact his music has had on a countless number of fans over the years, he’d reveal that he set out to create an album that fans could see themselves in.

“It means the world when one of my songs helps someone through a hard time—or celebrates their best moments. This album is about all of that—the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Every track started with a real story or feeling, and together we turned those experiences into music. In the end, I realized this album is about all of us. These are songs about us.”

As previously mentioned, along with the album announcement, Aldean dropped an additional three songs to preview the record. While all three are undoubtedly a step in the right direction, especially in comparison to the lows of Macon and Georgia, the clear standout is “Help You Remember,” which finds the 48-year-old singer grappling with losing a loved one to Alzheimer’s.

Overall, it’s looking like Songs About Us might serve as a return to form for Aldean judging by the early releases. With production feeling closer to the heyday of the “Night Train” singer’s career and songs such as “Help You Remember,” it looks like fans of Aldean are in for a pleasant surprise when the record releases next April.
