New era loading.

Megan Moroney fans think a big announcement is on the horizon. Megan Moroney recently wrapped up her Am I Okay? Tour, which celebrated the music of her sophomore record, Am I Okay? With the tour officially over and Megan Moroney releasing “6 Months Later” and her latest heartfelt single, “Beautiful Things,” it appears she has an announcement for a new project on the horizon. And her latest social media post confirms that speculation, as she closed the door on her blue era.

Megan Moroney has had a specific color associated with all of her records: green for Lucky, blue for Am I Okay?, and fans think butter yellow could represent MM3. While her next era’s color has yet to be officially revealed, she’s hanging up the iconic cobalt blue from the Am I Okay? era.

“Goodbye blue.”

Moroney recently shared a collection of images from the tour, including shots of music videos and more.

The post sent her fanbase into a frenzy, all speculating that an announcement is coming soon.

“REST IN PEACE BLUE ERA I LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER.”

“The blue is iconic.”

“Hello, purple or yellow.”

“PERFECT WHAT’S NEXT.”

“Blue will forever be your color.”

“Ahhhh can’t wait for this new era.”

“Stop it!!!”

“She will be dearly missed…”

“I’m blue over it.”

“Noooo it can’t be over :(.”

While I think many fans knew she was gearing up for the next chapter of music, as she recently shared that M M3 is still being mixed and mastered.

She says that part is around 93% done:

“On my end, it’s done. But then it takes a lot. It’s gotta get mixed, it’s gotta get mastered, it takes a whole thing. But I am happy that on my part, it’s 100% done. On everyone else’s part, if it was 80% done before, maybe it’s 93%. That feels right.”

Fans also have some other speculations about what’s in store for this next chapter of her career.

On Cloud 9?

While fans have speculated that butter yellow will be the color associated with MM3, after she hit the red carpet at the ACM Awards sporting an Andy Anderson-inspired look from How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days. During her recent pop-up at LaLa Land Cafe, she also wore another yellow look that not only matched the coffee shop’s aesthetic but also fed the theory that this could be the color of her next record.

Given that Moroney has shared she’s a big fan of Taylor Swift, it’s clear she’s playing the Easter Egg game, and she’s doing it well because fans are now talking about more than just MM3’s color scheme. Now, fans have a theory of what the record’s title will be.

A Megan Moroney fan account, @moremoroney, has picked up on some potential Easter Eggs, leading them to post that they think Moroney’s next album could be titled Cloud 9. The account admin shared that Moroney has been teasing 9s —a number she has used for quite some time —but they have noticed her posting many cloud images and emojis, leading them to believe that the 9s and clouds are linked to MM3.

“Wait, hear me out… she used cloud twice in different captions, as well as and some pretty cloud pics in photo dumps recently! We all know she’s been teasing 9’s forever & still is!! Maybe it isn’t a date.”

The account then made another post pointing out that Megan Moroney used a lot of cloud imagery in the “6 Months Later” music video, further suggesting this could be related to MM3 information.

Personally, I think they could be onto something here, especially since “6 Months Later” was her first solo release after Am I Okay?

Megan Moroney fans are putting on their Swiftie hats, and I’m all for the Georgia native dropping Easter Eggs ahead of big announcements. I hope it stays on this level and doesn’t become as outlandish as some of the theories that Taylor Swift fans will run with.

Many fans chimed in, thinking that Cloud 9 sounds like a good record title… only time will tell if this theory rings true.

Check out some of the comments left on these posts:

“Cloud 9 truthers rise!”

“We’re definitely gonna be on cloud nine when MM3 is announced!!!”

“The clouds are 100% part of the new album in some way.”

“This theory makes more and more sense.”

“Waitttt. I would love that as an album title.”

“Oh and in the 6ML music video the poster said it a long way down with clouds!!!”

“Okay, I’m sat and agreeing.”
