After announcing a brand new album earlier in the year, Silver Sands Marina, which is coming next Friday, last week, Kenny Chesney began teasing a new stadium tour. Of course, this was thanks to venues posting a cryptic invitation to the “Vibe Room,” which was a staple of Chesney’s residency at the Las Vegas Sphere.
At first, we received teasers from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, Soldier Field in Chicago, American Family Field in Milwaukee, Empower Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.
Yesterday, Kenny dropped another teaser hinting at who he’ll be bringing along with him on the road, and fans began to piece together that he was gearing up to reunite with the likes of the Chief himself, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Old Dominion and Greyland James, who’s written several songs for Kenny over the years before launching his own career as an artist.
Of course, the “Summertime” singer was last on tour back in 2024 with his massive Sun Goes Down tour, which featured co-headliners Zac Brown Band as well as Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker. After focusing on not one but two separate residencies at the Sphere in Las Vegas in 2025 and 2026, Chesney is officially running it back in massive stadiums across the country following a similar format next year.
Announced this morning, Chesney is hitting the road in 2027 on the Original Vibe Room Tour, with Church, Crow and James, along with a special appearance from Old Dominion on June 16th in Buffalo, New York.
Discussing getting back on the road on a full-fledged tour, Chesney would express how excited he is to get back into stadiums along with some of his closest friends in the industry.
“Our Vibe Room has always been a place at our shows to welcome our friends and family, a place for us to feel at home and connected while we’re out on the road. After two summers away from stadiums, we wanted all of No Shoes Nation to be a part of that special feeling next year.
I am so excited to bring The Original Vibe Room Tour to you all next year, joined by my good friend Eric Church along with Sheryl Crow, and Greylan James. We even have Old Dominion making a special appearance in Buffalo. It’s going to be a great summer.”
Overall, the Original Vibe Room Tour will span 19 shows, beginning on April 24th in Tampa, Florida, at Raymond James Stadium at wrapping up on August 28th in Foxborough, Massachusetts, at Gillette Stadium. As expected, Chesney will be making stops at the likes of Chicago at Soldier Field, Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Denver at Empower Field and Kansas City at Mile High Stadium. Additionally, he will be taking the tour to Nashville at Nissan Stadium, Arlington at AT&T Stadium, Detroit at Ford Field and more.
As usual, multiple rounds of presale dates are available. Premium members of Chesney’s fanclub, No Shoes Nation, will get first dibs tomorrow, September 16th at 10 a.m. local. From there, standard “Vibe Room” presale starts Thursday, September 17th. Finally, general sale begins for the public next Friday, September 25 at 10 a.m.
