Gavin Adcock has been raising hell on his Need To Tour Tour, but no one expected what went down in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During his set at the Rock the Country festival on July 19th, Adcock brought out none other than Afroman: the man, the myth, the legend behind “Crazy Rap” and “Because I Got High.”
Yeah. That Afroman.
While Gavin’s been stirring the pot lately, most recently calling out Beyoncé for labeling her new project a “country album,” he didn’t seem fazed by the backlash. Instead, he took the stage shirtless, beer in hand, smelling like whiskey, and gave the crowd one hell of a surprise.

Afroman had been on the lineup for both days of the festival, which also featured names like Kid Rock, Nickelback, and Hudson Westbrook. Say what you want, but that’s a hell of a mix, and somehow, this duet still managed to steal the spotlight.
Decked out in red, white, and blue, Afroman looked like a stoner on the Fourth of July as he joined Gavin for a rowdy, beer-drenched version of “Crazy Rap.” The two of them cracked tallboys and belted it out with the crowd losing their minds, some in disbelief, others just fully locked into the moment.
Honestly, it felt like the universe threw together your favorite tailgate anthem and your new favorite country artist and said, “Y’all ready for this?”

Gavin kicked off his tour back in May, and with three sold-out shows lined up for October, this momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. If this Afroman moment is any sign of what’s to come, we’re in for a wild ride this fall.
