“See If They’re Hiring While You’re There” – Lan Law Did An Ad For A Heating & AC Company And The Comments Were Hilarious

Probably smart for these guys to have a backup plan.

We’ve already covered the country music phenomenon that is Lan Law, the duo made up of brothers Lane and Curtis Lawson. Basically, they’re a duo who released a country song called “Country to the Bone” that was so horrifically bad that it began taking off on social media, not because people were enjoying it but…well, because it was so bad.

The attention to the song has landed the duo on the Bobby Bones Show, in videos from national personalities on ESPN, and sold-out shows (in tiny venues, but hey, still sold out).

And to be clear, this isn’t a case where people are laughing WITH them. I don’t think Lan Law realizes that their success is due to people who were originally sharing the video as a joke and pointing out how bad it is. But somehow, they’ve managed to parlay that joke (whether they’re in on it or not) into some minor success.

The duo recently played what looked like a sparsely attended show on Broadway in Nashville, and now it looks like they’ve managed to use their viral “fame” to secure the bag from a heating and air conditioning business in Arkansas.

Lan Law posted a sponsored video to TikTok today promoting Bennett Heating and Air in Batesville, Arkansas, featuring their viral country song and encouraging people to give the fine folks at Bennett a call for all of their heating and air conditioning needs.

And hey, no hate to Lan Law or the hardworking men and women at Bennett. Everybody’s just waking up, busting their butts, trying to earn a little extra pay. (See what I did there?) Get that bag while you can.

But as usual, the comments on the video are absolutely the best part. Let’s see what the people have to think about Lan Law’s newest sponsorship:

“See if they are hiring while y’all there”

“If I’m ever in Arkansas and need heating and air I won’t be contacting Bennetts now thanks”

“I liked these guys better before they sold out”

“Put the fries in the bag”

“You should give them a call for a job”

“I think they are gonna lose customers for this”

“This feels like one of those local hometown commercials you’d see pop up on a small town cable network at 2am.”

“I’m really trying to be a good person today.”

“How much do you have to pay them to sponsor you?”

Brutal.

It’s far from the first time that Lan Law has found themselves getting roasted in their own comment section. Just recently they posted a cover of Riley Green’s steamy new single “Worst Way,” probably hoping to capitalize on some of that sultry attention that Riley is getting for the music video. But…well, for some reason it just didn’t quite hit the same coming from them.

Heard this one was the new talk on TikTok. Here’s our cover of Worst Way by @Riley Green! Love this song! #fyp #countrymusic #videoedit #rileygreen #viralvideo #coversong

Predictably, the comments on that one were equally as brutal:

“What key is this? “Yes.””

“I keep waiting for Ashton Kutcher to show up. Why hasn’t Ashton Kutcher showed up?!?!”

“You’d be a good band if you got new singers”

“I’m gonna lie, this is fire”

Are they in on the joke? Who knows at this point. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was somebody in Nashville and saw that they were going viral and have them genuinely convinced that they’re good country artists, just because they know they can make a buck or two off their viral fame.

Or maybe they’re trolling us at this point, and if that’s the case, then hats off to you gentlemen because that’s hilarious and brilliant.
