Cross Canadian Ragweed is BACK.

It was first announced back in October of 2024 that the beloved Red Dirt band is getting back together, at least for a few shows, at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Because demand was so incredibly high, they wound up announcing four nights of their The Boys From Oklahoma shows in total, which equates to over 180,000 tickets moved… obviously, it’s completely sold out, but there’s more where that came from.

This past week, they announced another concert in Texas, at McLane Stadium, home of the Baylor Bears in Waco, for the concert officially titled Boys From Oklahoma Texas Encore. The stadium concert will take place on August 23rd of this year, alongside a stacked group of openers in Turnpike Troubadours, Wade Bowen, Shane Smith and the Saints, and American Aquarium.

It’s going to be a truly incredible show, and an incredible bill from top to bottom… obviously, seeing Ragweed together will be a highlight for everyone, but all of those bands are great so it’s awesome that they’ll all be part of the reunion show too.

Cross Canadian Ragweed was Formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma in the mid-90s, and became a cornerstone of the Red Dirt movement before calling it quits in 2010, with frontman Cody Canada and Jeremy Plato going on to form Cody Canada and the Departed. Ahead of all of these very exciting shows, frontman Cody Canada will return to the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast next week for a great episode, where we will of course ask him about how this all came to be, how he changed his mind on the band “never getting back together,” the beginnings and glory days of Ragweed and so much more.

If you have a question or two you want us to ask him, head to one of our social media pages and drop them in the comments:

And if you’re still hoping to see Ragweed in concert, tickets for the show in Texas on August 23rd have yet to go on sale.

Here’s the rundown on how to score tickets…

On Sunday, February 16th at noon CT, registration for the pre-sale ends. On Monday, February 17th, emails will go out to those who registered for the pre-sale passcode, so that they can get access to tickets first.

On Tuesday, February 18th at 10am CT, the pre-sale officially starts, and if you secured a presale code, you can purchase your tickets at that time. Due to the HIGH demand of this show already, I’d suggest being ready as soon as it starts to make sure you get the tickets you want.

On Friday, February 21st at 10am CT, IF there are any tickets left, and that’s a big IF, there will be a public ticket on sale. Assuming any tickets are still available by next Friday, it will likely be a very small amount, so my best professional advice would be to register for the presale and just get them that way… it will be the easiest, most painless way to do it, and we all know how difficult it can be to get concert tickets these days, especially for a show like this.

All of the information for the Boys From Oklahoma Texas Encore concert can be found at theboysfromoklahoma.com, where you can easily register to get a presale code in order to buy tickets.

You might as well do it while you’re here, because you don’t wanna miss out on this…
