We need it NOW.

Not long ago on the People’s Choice Country Awards red carpet, Miranda Lambert revealed that she was planning to write with rising star Ella Langley, and fans were immediately excited by the prospect.

Well, she actually debuted it Banita Creek Hall in Nacogdoches, Texas last weekend, and it’s exactly what I was hoping from the two of them and more.

The concept centers around Ella realizing that the guy she had her eye on is interested in a Texas girl, as she drowns her sorrow in Jack, drinking alone as the couple spins around the dance floor without a care in the world:

“She’s from Texas, I can tell,
I can tell by the way,
He’s two-stepping around the room,
Judging my the smile that on his face,
There’s nothing I can do,
It doesn’t take a crystal ball to see,
A cowboy always find a way to leave,
Drinking Jack all by myself,
‘Cuz he’s choosing Texas, I can tell”

It’s unclear if Miranda will be featured on the song too once Ella cuts it in the studio, but either way, I can see this one becoming a quick fan-favorite.

Ella released her debut country album Hungover last year, so it’s likely that, when she eventually puts out her next record, this one will be included on that tracklist. As far as when we might get to hear the full song, stay tuned, because if she’s debuting it live, it shouldn’t be too far off… check it out:

Ella is currently on the road playing some solo shows, but she’ll join duet partner Riley Green on his extensive Damn Country Music tour in March, in addition to opening some shows for Morgan Wallen on his I’m The Problem tour later this summer.
