Good news for those who were hoping to be able to watch these live.
It’s been less than a week since President Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States, and his administration has already hit the ground running on the securing the border and tackling illegal immigration.
Ahead of his inauguration, Trump announced that former director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan would serve as his border czar, responsible for overseeing deportation operations and securing the border. And on his first day in office, Trump signed several executive orders aimed at curbing illegal immigration.
Meanwhile, Homan was hard at work as soon as Trump was sworn in, with ICE immediately hitting the streets to round up dangerous criminals who are in the country illegally.
There’s already been plenty of backlash, with Colombia rejecting two planes of illegal immigrants yesterday. But Trump hit back with sanctions on the South American country, implementing tariffs and immigration restrictions from Colombia until they accept their citizens back.
And while Democrats aren’t exactly happy, many are happy to see that we’re finally getting these dangerous criminals off our streets and back to their home country.
In fact, some people were so excited about the operation that they were begging for a COPS style reality show so that we could watch the ICE raids for ourselves:
Who wants to see the @RealTomHoman ICE reality TV show? I would love to see them rounding up all the illegal aliens.

That actually be a good show like cops but ICE

Can we please have a nightly show like COPS but for ICE?

ICE is missing an opportunity to broadcast raids and arrests.. Americans are big fans of this kind of content..
COPS used to be one of my favorites back in the day!

Not a bad idea. And luckily, it seems like those who want to watch…thanks to Dr. Phil.
The television host and clinical psychologist revealed today that he had embedded with ICE as they conducted raids on the streets of Chicago, livestreaming the operation on Merit TV, Dr. Phil’s streaming platform (which I didn’t know existed until just now but it seems like I need to subscribe).
In a clip shared to Twitter, Dr. Phil (whose real name is Phil McGraw) is seen interrogating an illegal immigrant from Thailand who had reportedly been previously convicted of sex crimes involving children:
JUST IN: The first arrest in Chicago with @RealTomHoman was a convicted sex offender and internet predator from Thailand.

And he and Homan also stopped by an ICE center to clear up some of the misconceptions that have been going around about the deportation operations:
LIVE NOW: Dr. Phil and @RealTomHoman are in an ICE Command Center in Chicago.
Dr. Phil: Are you going into schools and arresting children at schools?
Tom Homan: No.
Dr. Phil: Is anything like that happening?
Tom Homan: No sir. pic.twitter.com/ELvIDDM6SN

ICE announced this evening that they made nearly 1,000 arrests today, the most in a single day since Trump took office, bringing the total number of arrests to over 2,500 in the past week, largely in sanctuary cities like Chicago.
Dr. Phil’s stream isn’t the first inside look we’ve gotten at what ICE are calling “targeted” operations that are prioritizing violent criminals. Earlier this week, Fox News went out with ICE during their raids, capturing footage of the agency arresting illegal immigrants including an alleged gang member with 17 criminal convictions, as well as an MS-13 gang member who was wanted for murder in his home country of El Salvador, and a man arrested in the United States for rape who had been released by a sanctuary city.
A clip from that footage quickly went viral of a Haitian immigrant screaming “f*ck Trump” and “Joe Biden forever” while claiming that he wasn’t going back to Haiti – a claim to which Homan bluntly responded:
“Well, he’s wrong, he’s going back to Haiti.”
