Bill Belichick might be adding another ring to his collection soon.
The 72-year-old former New England Patriots coach made headlines earlier this year when it was reported that he was dating a much younger woman after he and his former partner, Linda Holliday, broke up after 16 years of dating. According to TMZ, shortly after the hoodie-loving, sleeve-hating Belichick fell out of love, he fell right back into love, and young love at that.
Sources confirmed that Bill Belichick started dating a 24-year-old former competitive cheerleader named Jordon Hudson this past summer. For those that struggle with quick math, that’s a 48-year age difference. Not only could Bill be Hudson’s father, he could actually be her grandfather. Good thing age is just a number.
The couple apparently met on a flight from Boston to Florida in 2021, and got together romantically shortly after Belichick and Holliday called it quits. Belichick and Hudson hit it off, and as the source told TMZ, they “swapped contact information after landing, and stayed friendly through the ensuing months … discussing her school work and the X’s and O’s of her cheerleading routines.”
And Hudson has apparently only fallen more and more in love with Bill’s bank account Belichick over the past couple of months, to the point where the couple is now considering getting married – or at the very least moving towards it.
A source told the Daily Mail that Hudson and Belichick are very much in love, but Hudson is encouraging Bill to get back into coaching if that’s something he’s truly interested in:
“Bill is in a bit of a crossroads on what he would like to do for his future as there is still a drive to coach again and break the wins record, but his life now isn’t that bad as he has been enjoying doing TV and absolutely enjoying his relationship with his girlfriend Jordon that is blossoming into something that is going to lead to marriage.
He wants to be with her all of the time, but she is pushing him to see the options that he will have for next season because she knows that makes him happy.”
One team that’s been rumored to have some interest in the services of Bill Belichick next season? The Dallas Cowboys. Seeing Bill walk the sidelines of AT&T Stadium in a cut-off Cowboys hoodie would certainly be a sight to see, but let me lay out a scenario that’s even crazier – and could potentially happen according to these reports.
What if Bill get’s offered the Dallas head coach position, and he declines because he’s… in love? That’s something that only happens in the movies, and would undoubtedly mark a new low for “America’s Team.” I think I can speak for everyone and say that if Bill were to turn down the Cowboys to instead get married, that would just be… AWESOME.
