A close call… way too close.
Yesterday, actress Brittany Furlan, who is married to legendary Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, saved her dog Neena from a coyote after a scary incidence at their California home.
She caught all of the footage on a Ring camera in their backyard, where you see their two dogs wandering outside as she watched on from not too far away. Out of nowhere, a coyote comes running from the right side of the yard, and snatches up one of the dogs.
Furlan shared the video on social media, saying it happened in broad daylight at 1PM on Tuesday. You can hear her screaming for the dog, Neena, as she bolts by in a robe chasing after the coyote at their Woodland Hills, California home. You can’t see her climb the wall in it, but in the post, Brittany said she scaled it and grabbed the dog out of the coyote’s mouth.
I mean, I know it’s her dog, but it takes some serious guts to chase down and confront a coyote… she looked fearless though, running on lots of adrenaline and getting the dog back pretty quickly.
It’s not all that uncommon to see coyotes on the west side of LA in the San Fernando Valley, and in her post on Instagram, Brittany said she believes it’s only because Neena is “a little bit fat” that the coyote couldn’t get over the wall more quickly and she was able to catch up to them.
I don’t know too much about Brittany, other than knowing she’s married to Tommy Lee and watching her podcast a few times (she’s pretty funny), but apparently she’s a real bada** too:
“Neena is safe. I climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she’s a little bit fat because he couldn’t make it over the wall with her. If it was teenie she would’ve been gone.
This is in Broad daylight at 1 PM. They are getting more brazen and hungry. Please be safe. I’m not even letting the dogs out anymore. This is ridiculous. Hug your babies extra tight”
You can also see Tommy in the video for a brief moment, as both of them are clearly rattled by the situation. Brittany was understandably very upset, saying she won’t even “ket the dogs out anymore” now. She explained that she’s lived there for years and never seen a coyote herself, warning everyone how important it is to stay vigilant if they live nearby.
