Wyatt Flores made the most out of his trip to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater earlier this month.

The 22-year-old country music prodigy was there in support of the Turnpike Troubadours, opening up for them at the bucket list concert venue for fans and artists alike. Flores has rocketed to stardom thanks to honest and transparent songwriting, tackling heavy subjects that have proven to resonate with his growing fanbase.

Though he might be mature for his age, that doesn’t mean that he isn’t grateful for every step of the way. When he did take the stage at Red Rocks earlier this month, he made sure to shoutout all of the support he’s gotten through the good times and the bad, and got choked up as he did so:

Gotta love him for that right there.

Outside of his main opening performance, Flores did a couple of unique recording to be released later on. Before the crowds rolled into the amphitheater, Wyatt teamed up with Sierra Hull to cover Tyler Childers’ “Shake The Frost” in front of the Red Rocks steps. The pair matched the spirit of the song by performing live and out in the open, since Childers has never released a studio recording of the track himself:

By far the coolest additional project that came out of Flores’ trip to Denver, Colorado was his very own “Red Rocks Trail Mix Session.” In the video, Wyatt talks about his songwriting, what motivates him and his band, and how grateful he is to be doing what he’s doing for a living. One of the excerpts intertwined between the songs is Wyatt Flores in a nutshell:

“The message that I’m after is to motivate people to live. And I hope they get the motivation to look at their life and see what more they can do for themselves. That’s really all I’m after, and not taking life for granted. I’m just grateful. Any song that I get to sing, even if they gave me one song, I’d be happy. I don’t know how I got this lucky. I don’t remember meeting a leprechaun, but we can’t believe it.”

The young country star played two song from his newest EP Half Life, kicking things off with an emotional performance of “Running Out Of Time,” then treating fans to a bluegrass rendition of his hit song “Milwaukee.” To wrap things up, and likely to pay homage to the reason why he was at Red Rocks in the first place, he and his band played a cover of Turnpike Troubadours’ “Kansas City Southern.”

If you’ve got an extra 12 minutes or so, the whole video is well worth your time. Especially if you consider yourself a Wyatt Flores fan, and at this point, I don’t know why you wouldn’t be.
