Putting it behind ’em.
As we all know by now, Zach Bryan made a whole bunch of headlines last year at Born & Raised Festival when he tried to fight Gavin Adcock after weeks of prodding from the “Never Call Again” singer. In case you forgot about the seemingly endless amount of drama between the country artists, I’ll summarize the whole ordeal.
Last July, Bryan accidentally told a 14-year-old fan to “GOMD” (get off my d*ck) after failing to meet with fans after his second of three nights at MetLife Stadium in July. Adcock, who is known for stirring the pot, fired back at Bryan, calling him out shortly after the aforementioned “GOMD” comment. If you’re familiar with Adcock, you’ll know that he’s quite famous at this point for continuing beefs and arguments long past when a standard artist would call it quits, and it was no different here with Bryan.
Around two months would go by with on-and-off pestering from Adcock, and in September, during Born & Raised Fest, Bryan would make a surprise appearance alongside rising country star, Gabriella Rose, to perform their single together, “Madeline.” While performing “Madeline,” he apparently thought that was the appropriate time to taunt Gavin Adcock, not once but twice, including in the middle of the song.
Shortly after the performance, he allegedly saw Adcock through a fence as he was leaving and stopped to confront him. Hopping over the fence, he was grabbed by security with no punches being thrown. Adcock argued that Bryan had seen him earlier in the day and wasn’t drunk enough to confront him then. Of course, this then led to the now-viral video of the Oklahoma native jumping the fence and confronting the “Run Your Mouth” singer.
It should go without saying that their Born & Raised confrontation remained the wildest and most absurd story, arguably of the entire year. Unsurprisingly, Adcock would continue to take shots at the “Something in the Orange” singer well after the dust had settled in September in Oklahoma, telling his crowd in Canada that he’s supposedly never met someone who liked Bryan back in November.
“I’m gonna tell y’all this, in all honesty and the bottom of my heart, I’ve never met a person that’s met that mother***** that said they like that f**** dude, ever, not one time.”
Bryan, on the other hand, would never publicly address the altercation, though he would allude to past issues in a post announcing his sobriety and jokingly referencing how he tried to jump a fence during a performance with Matthew McConaughey.
Throughout 2026, there hasn’t been too much to talk about regarding the beef. Ironically, the two shared the same stage back in February during EA Sports’ Madden Bowl concert before the Super Bowl in San Francisco. Unsurprisingly, the two never crossed paths, and no further incidents occurred.
Though it seemed as if Adcock was still inviting fans to play into the beef as recently as July — with a fan presented him with a vest that read “Zac Bryan isn’t worth the scum on the bottom of my boot” and him responding by saying, “F*** that mother*****” — it appears that the Georgia native is pretty much ready to put everything in the past at this point.
During a recent appearance on the Bobby Bones Show, Bones would tell Adcock that he is convinced that he and Bryan will do a song together, remarking that he feels it’s not “out of the realm of possibility.
In response, the 27-year-old singer/songwriter would admit that he simply doesn’t know, doubling down on the fact he wasn’t scared to call Bryan out simply due to wanting to do a show or song with him in the future.
“I don’t know. I really just didn’t like the way he was treating those people, and I just called him out on it. A lot of people don’t call out big stars because they want to possibly get up under their wing or like do a show with them or do a song with them. And that’s just not my mindset, you know?”
Adcock would add that he “really hopes” the “Heading South” singer is doing better, hypothesizing that the entire Born & Raised Fest situation and the aftermath “put his feet on the ground.”
“I really hope the guys doing better, ’cause it seemed like he was in a really terrible spot there for a while. I mean, I think that situation kind of put his feet on the ground.”
Bones would continue to run with the whole concept of a collaboration somewhere down the line, and Adcock would respond with a hesitant, “We’ll see.”
There you have it, I guess. While I can’t imagine Bryan will ever comment on it considering its been nearly a year. It seems like Adcock is finally ready to put everything in the past — even if his fans clearly aren’t ready to.
