Tyler Halverson has done it again.

The South Dakota native has made a name for himself in Nashville through his cleverly penned rodeo anthems, but his latest single “Anybody But You” is a heartfelt love songs that fits perfectly within his growing catalog.

Penned alongside the late legend Keith Gattis, whose songs have been recorded by the likes of country music icons from George Strait and Willie Nelson to Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen, Halverson finds himself in good company on this one. And he lives up to the lofty expectations that come with the territory.

In an Instagram post from a couple of weeks ago, Halverson announced the new single and provided a brief comment on the song and what it meant to write with Gattis.

“‘Anybody But You’ is that God sent kind of love. The kind that comes along and never leaves. It’s a special song written with the late Keith Gattis after a couple Coors Lights.

I am proud of this song and forever grateful for someone like Keith to learn from and have in my corner.”

Without further ado check out Tyler Halverson’s “Anybody But You” below.

“Someday I’m gonna teach our kids
What I learned from lovin’ you is this
Anything worth having is gonna take some time
A little bit of faith and a whole lot of fight
It was never gonna be easy they say
Wasn’t gonna be any good anyway
It never mattered what I did or didn’t do
It was never gonna be anybody but you…”

Halverson’s unique brand of hippie and cowboy country, self-labeled as Western Amerijuana music, brings about a name you are going to want to keep on your radar moving forward.

If you aren’t familiar with the rest of his catalog, check out a few more of my favorites:
