Long live the Big Dog Daddy.

After it was announced yesterday that Toby Keith passed away on February 5 after a 2-year battle with stomach cancer, tributes to the country legend began pouring in from all around country music.

Many artists took to social media to share their memories and tributes for the ’90s country hitmaker, and Darius Rucker even performed Toby’s hit “God Love Her” at the Grand Ole Opry last night in tribute.

And Luke Combs also took some time during a show in Nashville to remember Toby Keith.

Luke was in town for a private event at the Ryman Auditorium, a prize for 500 winners of his “Living Lucky With Luke Combs” scratch-off ticket promotion.

And while the night was all about Luke and his fans, Toby Keith’s passing was still heavy on everyone’s minds.

During the show, a fan requested a Toby Keith song in honor of the country music icon, and Luke happily obliged with “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” in honor of Toby.

Have a feeling we’re going to be hearing that one a lot in the coming days and weeks. And I’ll be singing along every time.

God bless Toby Keith.
