Tyler Halverson Releases Rodeo Inspired Anthem “Takes 8”

Tyler Halverson

The South Dakota native is dropping his first single of the year.

Tyler Halverson is kicking off the year (and rodeo season) with the perfect red dirt track.

After his heaters like “Run Wild,” “Cut Her Loose,” and a recent collaboration with Carter Faith, “Tiffany Blue,” Halverson is back with another “Amerijuana” anthem. “Takes 8” is the ideal rodeo anthem as he sings about how it takes eight seconds to win a buckle (on bucking stock), but nothing is going to get in the way of him winning over the girl he’s been eyeing.

He says:

“It takes 8 to win a buckle and nine to get me drunk. This one’s about being on the good side of luck by getting in the money and winning over a heart.”

Halverson keeps the track’s melody light and airy while staying true to his roots. He highlights lyrics that embody the Western industry and rodeo sports. As he defines his sound even further, Halverson is making strides with his unique yet addicting melodies and lyrics.

I’m finding myself. I feel like I’m an artist, and I’m finally about to do something.”

I think that his year is really Halverson’s year, and if you haven’t tuned into his music yet, this little ditty is the perfect place to start.

Turn it all the way up.
