Kacey Musgraves is set to be featured on the Bob Marley: One Love EP, which accompanies the major motion picture that’s slated to premiere in theaters on February 14th.
The film stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as the iconic reggae musician and Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita, and:
“Celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through [Marley’s] message of love and unity.
On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.”
In partnership with the Marley family, which had a hand in picking and approving all selections for the tracklist, the full EP will be released the day of the movie premiere on February 14th.
It will also feature covers from Daniel Caesar, Wizkid, Leon Bridges, Jessie Reyez, Bloody Civilian, and Skip Marley, grandson of Bob Marley.
Kacey shared on Instagram that her cover comes out tonight, and hopefully, it’s just the beginning of much more new music from the Texas native in 2024…
I can’t wait to hear her take on this classic, which was the fourth track on side two of Bob Marley and the Wailers 1977 Exodus album, and was later released as a single in 1980:
