Gotta make a good first impression.
Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce stole the show this weekend at Highmark Stadium as he traveled to Buffalo to watch his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, take on the Buffalo Bills in the NFL divisional round playoffs.
The older Kelce was spotted celebrating his brother’s touchdown by jumping shirtless out of the suite and chugging a beer with Bills fans, and also took time to help make a young Taylor Swift fan’s dream come true.
It seems like everybody was in love with Kelce’s antics during the game – except maybe his wife, Kylie Kelce.
At one point, video shows Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ father delivering a message to Jason from his wife:
“Hey, Kylie said get your ass back in here.”
I mean, that’s the father of your three daughters. You should know what you’re getting by now.
But apparently Kylie had already warned Jason to be on his best behavior ahead of the game.
This weekend was the first time that Jason and Kylie would be meeting Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Travis Kelce. And it sounds like Kylie didn’t want Jason to make a bad first impression on the pop superstar.
On this week’s episode of their New Heights podcast, Jason discussed the warning from his wife:
“She was already telling me to be on my best behavior because we were meeting Taylor…
I was like, ‘Kylie the first day I met you I was blacked out drunk and fell asleep at the bar. This is part of the charm. This is part of the Jason Kelce charm.’
If I want to make my best first impression, this is my best chance.”
And Jason even gave Kylie a heads up that he would not, in fact, be on his best behavior:
“I’m not gonna lie, I gave Kylie a heads up. The moment we got into the suite I said, ‘I’m taking my shirt off and I’m jumping outta that suite.’
She said, ‘Jason don’t you dare.’ I was like, ‘Hey, just letting you know it’s happening.’
I’m not asking for permission. I’m doing this.”
Well it seems like the Jason Kelce charm worked and he made a good first impression on Taylor Swift. According to Travis:
“Tay said she absolutely loved you.”
And I mean, how could you not love this man?
